In preparedness for the induction of wide bodied aircraft into its fleet next year, India's Jet Airways has signed a contract with CAE, a world leader in providing simulation and training solutions to commercial airlines, for supply of Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) and Airbus A330 simulators.

Elbit Systems has linked two air training simulators, in remote locations, via a cloud-based simulation environment by providing a common Synthetic Natural Environment (SNE). The company developed the ability to connect simulators through a secure simulation cloud, using standard protocols, to provide simulation and information services.

Boeing has expanded its pilot training capabilities with the placement of several new full-flight simulators around the world. CAE USA has been awarded a subcontract from Lockheed Martin to support the design, development and manufacture of three C-130J full-mission simulators for the United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

8. Boeing Delivers F-22 Training Center with Advanced Visual System
Boeing has improved the realism of ground-based F-22 Raptor training by delivering the first simulators for that aircraft with an immersive, 360-degree visual environment. Two simulators were installed, each paired with the Constant Resolution Visual System (CRVS), Boeing’s patented display that provides high-resolution imagery for pilots to train with nearly 20/20 acuity.
