Etihad Airways today issued a statement to express its disappointment of the German court’s decision to withdraw approval for codeshare services with airberlin on 29 routes. Etihad Airways owns 29.2% of airberlin, which is Germany’s second largest airline. The airline said it is reviewing the judgment and will file an appeal against the decision early next week.

143. Hotel Rates Set New Year-On-Year Growth Record
According to data in The Pegasus View by Pegasus Solutions, hotel ADR continued a northward trend in April 2012, realizing record or near-record growth margins over rates paid in 2011. North American corporate hotel rates set a new year-on-year growth record, increasing +9.3% over 2011, beating a previous record of +7.1% set in February by more than two percentage points.

China Express Airlines has placed a firm order with Bombardier for 10 CRJ900 regional jets, raising its total orders for this model of aircraft to 38. Based on the list price of the CRJ900 aircraft, this latest order is valued at approximately US$462.6 million.
