65. Qantas to Launch Gold Coast - Sydney Flights
From late October 2012, Qantas will commence three daily return services between the Gold Coast and Sydney using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The Gold Coast passenger lounge, currently used by Jetstar, will undergo a refurbishment and be reopened as a Qantas Club by the end of 2012. Bristol Airport in England has started trials of the latest self-service bag drop technology. Twelve self-service kiosks and four bag drop desks have been installed within the easyJet check-in area at the airport, and customer hosts are on hand to offer guidance and assistance to passengers throughout the trial.

Cebu Pacific has launched a mobile check-in option, just in time for the holidays. The new service is in addition to web check-in, self check-in kiosks at the airport, and Agent Xpress (roving airport agents equipped with tablets) which are available as alternate forms of check-in for Cebu Pacific flights.

71. Perth Airport Extends Travelex Concession
Travelex has been selected as the successful tenderer for the foreign exchange concession at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 of Perth Airport in Australia. Perth Airport conducted a competitive tender process for the new six-year agreement which includes the six existing stores, which will be reconceptualised by Travelex, as well as three new mobile kiosks across both terminals.

SAS today moves to Terminal 2, The Queen's Terminal and the new home of all Star Alliance airlines at London Heathrow. The move means that when arriving and leaving London Heathrow, customers will have a choice of check-in methods such as self-service kiosks, fast bag-drop desks and full-service check-in desks.
