Ryanair has taken delivery of its 375th direct delivery Boeing 737-800. Ryanair is the largest Next Generation 737-800 customer in the world having ordered more than 530 of the airplane type. The Dublin-based airline is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary of operations since its first flight in 1985. Today, Ryanair is the largest all-Boeing operator in Europe.

Ryanair launches OnAir Inflight Mobile Phone Service. Ryanair, one of Europe’s largest low cost airlines, has launched an inflight mobile phone service initially onboard 20 of its (mainly) Dublin based aircraft. This is the first step in fitting Ryanair’s entire fleet of over 170 aircraft to allow all passengers to make and receive mobile calls and texts on all Ryanair flights.

EgyptAir has taken delivery of its fifth Boeing 787 Dreamliner. EgyptAir ordered six 787-9 Dreamliners in 2017 via a long-term lease from Dublin-based AerCap, the world’s largest customer of the 787 aircraft - with a total of 114 owned, managed and on order.
