ATRs newest -600 series aircraft have received certification from the the American Federal Aviation Administration. The certification, for both the ATR 42-600 and the ATR 72-600, will enable the entry into service of these new aircraft in countries requiring FAA, rather than EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) certification.

Following in the PW127M's flight path with over 10 million hours of operation, the PW127N provides a 4.5% power increase for Maximum Take-Off ratings (MTO), thus enhancing performance in hot and high operating conditions.
79. Binter Canarias Orders Six ATR 72-600s
Binter Canarias of the Spanish Canary Islands has signed a firm order for six ATR 72-600 aircraft, valued at almost US$ 150 million. These newest ATR '-600s' will begin the renewal process of the airline's current fleet of 18 ATR 72s which have been operating successfully in the inter-islands network for years.
80. Flybe Signs Global Maintenance Agreement with ATR
Flybe, one of Europes largest regional airlines, operating domestic and regional routes for Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), has signed a 6-year Global Maintenance Agreement with ATR for five ATR 72-600 aircraft. Flybes first brand new ATR entered service last month. The airline will incorporate four other new 70-seat ATR 72-600s into the SAS network between 2016 and 2017.
