British Airways has confirmed that its first Airbus A350 aircraft will begin long-haul flights on 2 September 2019. The aircraft is currently being put through extensive service trials before it commences services to Dubai next month, followed by flights to Toronto, Tel Aviv and Bangalore later this year.

Vietnam Airlines has taken delivery of the first of eight Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner airplanes. On lease from Air Lease Corporation, the new 787-10 will complement Vietnam Airlines' existing fleet of 787-9 jets. The 787-10 is longer than the 787-9, providing the space to carry 40 more passengers and more cargo.
