For the month of March 2012, Air Canada reported a system load factor of 81.5%, versus 79.5% in March 2011, an increase of 2.0 percentage points. System traffic increased 4.8% on a system-wide capacity increase of 2.2%. As Cathay Pacific's Chief Executive, Tony Tyler, is leaving the airline on 31 March 2011 to join IATA in July, the airline has appointed John Slosar, the current COO, to succeed him. The successor to Mr Slosar has not yet been confirmed.
