AirAsia has launched a Beat the Heat New Year Sale which runs until 15 January 2011 for travel between 1 February and 31 March 2011.

The popular low cost airline is offering hot deals on routes on its new ‘Flight Transfer Service’, which allows guests to book all the way to their end destination and avoid immigration queues when connecting between flights at the airline’s hub in Kuala Lumpur.

Travellers can take advantage of this new service with sale fares from Melbourne to London (Stansted) from just A$398, to Taipei from A$288 and to Mumbai from A$238 one way.

From Perth, grab a one way fare to London from A$398, New Delhi from A$239 and Chengdu from A$278.

Travellers departing from the Gold Coast will be able to pick up a one-way fare to Chengdu from A$278 and to Hangzhou from A$278.

One-way flights from Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Perth to Kuala Lumpur start from A$168.

From Kuala Lumpur, fly on to Mumbai and New Delhi from A$52, Chengdu and Hangzhou from A$88, Taipei and Tokyo from A$102, Tianjin from A$123 and London from A$207.

“While your mates will be sweating it out over the Aussie summer, you could be snowboarding in Japan, climbing a snow-capped Great Wall or throwing snowballs at a Pom,” AirAsia X Head of Commercial Darren Wright said. “Routes on our new Flight Transfer Service are on sale at incredible prices. AirAsia’s new Flight Transfer Service is available for selected flights departing from AirAsia X long haul routes covering China, India, Taiwan, UK and Australia, as well as selected routes from the AirAsia network.
