China Airlines has launched non-stop flights between Taipei and London Gatwick. The airline will operate the new route four times per week with Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The launch of direct flights to Gatwick makes China Airlines the only airline in Taiwan to offer non-stop flights to London. EVA Air's London flights currently operate via Bangkok, Thailand.

Taiwan-based UNI Air, a subsidiary of EVA Air, has signed a contract with European regional turboprop manufacturer ATR to purchase 10 ATR 72-600s. ATR has delivered the very first ATR 72-600 aircraft in the livery of an Asian carrier. The aircraft, with registration number B-17001, has been delivered to Taiwan-based carrier Uni Air, a regional subsidiary of Eva Air.
