AirAsia has expanded its inflight menu with an INSPI(RED) Burger, sales of which will help the fight against AIDS across the ASEAN region. For every burger sold, 10% of the sales will go to the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS testing, counselling, treatment and prevention programmes in the region.

Emirates has launched four flights per week to Porto, its second destination in Portugal. Emirates will operate the route with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft in a two class cabin configuration featuring Emirates newest Business Class and Economy Class seats and interiors. The aircraft has 38 lie flat seats in Business Class in a 2-2-2 configuration and 264 seats in Economy Class.

Accor has expanded its Novotel brand to the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai. The Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Journeyhub houses 202 rooms and suites that offer guests a 55-inch smart TV, minibar, and a spacious bathroom which features a separate bathtub and shower. Select rooms also feature private balconies and garden access.

Etihad Airways has increased capacity on three Asian routes to accommodate the growing demand. Flights between Abu Dhabi and the two major two Chinese cities of Shanghai and Chengdu have been upgraded with Boeing 787 Dreamliners, while the South Korean city of Seoul has been boosted from a Boeing 787 to an Airbus A380.

Thai Airways has arranged special flights for Muslims in Thailand to attend the Hajj Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, with flights departing from Narathiwat, Suvarnabhumi and Krabi airports to Medina Airport in Saudi Arabia. Thai Airways has arranged 15 special round trip flights that will be able to accommodate approximately 4,325 pilgrims.
56. Singapore Airlines to Renovate Changi T3 Lounges
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is to invest more than SGD50 million in a major revamp of its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold Lounges at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Renovations are due to commence in August 2019 and are expected to be completed by mid-2021.
