28. Rolls-Royce Wins $350m Contract from Hawaiian Airlines
Rolls-Royce has won a $350 million contract from Hawaiian Airlines to deliver Trent 700 engines to power five Airbus A330 aircraft. The order includes TotalCare long-term services support. The aircraft, to be delivered from 2013 to 2015, will add to the airline’s current fleet of five Trent 700-powered A330s and another 12 to be delivered.

Dusit International has turned to IDeaS Revenue Solutions to enhance its demand forecasting and boost revenue performance in 13 of their Asian based properties. In working with IDeaS, Dusit International is deploying the IDeaS Revenue Management System (RMS) at certain properties, and the IDeaS Forecasting Management System (FMS) at other properties.
30. Transaero Airlines Signs Firm Order for 8 Airbus A320neo
Russia’s Transaero Airlines has signed a firm order for eight Airbus A320neo aircraft following a Memorandum of Understanding signed in August at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2011 in Moscow. The A320neo (new engine option) is an efficiency improvement package offering up to 15% fuel savings on the A320 Family.
31. TG’s Technical Department at Don Muang Resumes Operations
Thai Airways International’s Technical Department at Don Muang airport - the mainly domestic, cargo and military airport in Bangkok - today reopened and resumed normal technical operations, following closure on 26 October 2011 caused by the recent flooding in the area.
