Ahlan Dubai to extend its services through web and hospitality tents during Dubai Shopping Festival 2003

Travel News Asia 7 December 2002

The full service call centre for Dubai Shopping Festival, Ahlan Dubai, will now become accessible through a special section at www.mydsf.com and through specially designed hospitality tents during Dubai Shopping Centre.

Dubai Shopping Festival is so vast in its various elements, whether entertainment or shopping, that a tourist normally cannot realize the best value for his trip without ample guidance. Ahlan Dubai was established in 1999 to help visitors with any queries that they might have about Dubai or the Festival. Extending its services through the net and the hospitality tent will add convenience to the DSF visitor.

The Ahlan Dubai hospitality tents will be fully equipped to provide the visitors information in the form of brochures, leaflets and personal support through information. These tents will be located at all the important DSF venues like Al Seef Street, Muraqabbat Road, Al Riqqa Street and Al Dhiyafah street.

Ahlan Dubai provides information about Dubai Shopping Festival on three distinct categories - business enquiries, like how to participate in promotions or street participations, and how to get application or registration forms for the various DSF promoted awards and competitions like the Innovation Awards, Journalism Awards etc and queries pertaining to events, venues and dates. Ahlan Dubai in its new format will also receive ideas and suggestions for the development of the Festival.

Currently the call centre receives more than 100 calls every day, 70% from GCC countries, 30% of these are from the UAE, and 10% from Europe and Australia.

To access Ahlan Dubai from a location within UAE, call 090 - 400 99. International callers will have to dial the number + 97190 400 99 to access this service.
