Sedona Hotel Yangon welcomes Singapore MICE Planners

Travel News Asia 6 September 2002

Sedona Hotel Yangon greeted 12 MICE planners from Singapore 'Mingalarbar' ('greetings of warm blessings' in Burmese) when they arrived in Yangon on 16 August 2002. The MICE planners were invited to Yangon for a four-day familiarisation trip, fully hosted by Sedona Hotel Yangon, with air-ticket sponsorship from Myanmar Airways.

The familiarisation trip aimed to highlight the attractiveness of Yangon as a safe and exciting MICE destination. It provided the 12 MICE planners a glimpse into the unique culture of Myanmar, and enabled them to experience first-hand the gracious hospitality of Sedona Hotel Yangon. The itinerary included a tour of Sedona Hotel Yangon's meeting, convention and recreation facilities, full day Yangon city tour and visits to Bago and Thanlyn.

Said Mr Lim Boon Kwee, Senior Vice President of Sedona Hotels International, "As Myanmar opens its doors to tourism, international interest in this exotic country is gradually rising. Through this trip, the MICE planners would have gained more knowledge of Myanmar's rich culture heritage. It was also a great opportunity for them to experience and view the deluxe accommodation and meeting facilities offered at Sedona Hotel Yangon."

Sedona Hotel Yangon sits majestically on eight acres of beautifully landscaped garden and faces the serene Inya Lake. The deluxe five-star hotel features 366 tastefully decorated rooms and suites within impressive Myanmar-inspired architecture.
