Lufthansa Miles & More now with its own website

Travel News Asia 5 September 2002

From today Miles & More, Lufthansa's frequent flyer programme, has its own website at www.miles-and-more.com . The revamped Internet presence contains all the information that was previously accessible at www.lufthansa.com and www.moremiles.com

The new-look website offers clearly structured content and enhanced navigation thanks to its simplified and streamlined design. All information is available in both German and English.

The layout of miles-and-more.com combines emotionally stimulating design with standard functions and modern technical standards. Navigation is geared around the three main pillars "Earn", "Spend" and "News & Specials". Here Miles & More members find a detailed overview of ways to earn and redeem miles. A list of all the Miles & More partners is accessible via a drop-down menu. With a click of a mouse, visitors are linked directly with the website of the relevant company, its offers and promotions. The familiar Miles & More services, such as changing one's personal profile, booking award flights or checking one's Miles & More account can be reached via quick links.

Registration for new members is prominently placed on the right-hand side of the page. Another innovative feature is the news ticker on the home page which provides members with the latest information on Miles & More.

Interactive communication with visitors and an extensive service area are key components of the redesigned website. In addition to the Service Center and Infotour, the new Miles & More website also has a comprehensive FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section. On the main navigation tool bar at the top of the page a search function and a sitemap help visitors to navigate the website. There is also an opportunity to register for a personal copy of the Miles & More Newsletter, which is published monthly and can be ordered as an HTML or text version. Besides the latest offers, the newsletter now contains an overview of the member's personal mileage account.

An important aim of the new Internet presence is also to integrate the steadily growing network of marketing partners from non-airline sectors, such as Vodafone D2, Deutsche Bank, Bayrische Landesbank, Audi, Porsche, Die Zeit, Die Welt, Bang & Olufsen and many more.

To mark the launch of the new Miles & More website, Lufthansa is holding an exclusive competition from 5 September - 31 October 2002. During this period customers who register online at www.miles-and-more.com will receive a welcome bonus of 2,000 award miles and will also be entered in a prize draw for 10 x 2 return tickets (5 x 2 intra-European tickets and 5 x 2 intercontinental tickets to North or South America, South Africa or India).
