V9 - Welcome addition to Bangkok's Nightlife

Travel News Asia 4 November 2002

Offering almost unbeatable views of Bangkok, the latest addition to Bangkok's nightlife is to be found on the 37th floor of the Sofitel Silom Bangkok.

Not only an excellent and relaxing bar, with live music, and exceptional dining, the V-9 is one bar that will tempt you with some of the best wines to be found in Thailand at some of the best prices. And as if that were not enough, there is even a French Sommelier on hand to help guide you through the tantalising choices of wines available.

The resident Sommelier, Stephen will carefully pair glasses of wines with your menu selections and lead you into the seductive world of wine exploration, step by step, glass by glass. And should you wish to explore wine on your own, the vast information available in V9 will make your personal exploration easy, fun and more importantly, affordable.

Thanks to the creative combination of a wine shop at the entrance to the bar and restaurant, V9 does not charge a corkage fee, allowing guests to enjoy the finest wines in stunning surroundings all at retail price.

V9 is not all about wine however, as you are able to savour a wonderful choice of creative dining fare brought to you by international acclaimed Chef Marcel Sawyere.

All this topped with world-class entertainment from American Jazz Pianist/Singer, Captain 'Doc' James and French Deejay, Ms Lisaplay at the helm, the V9 is definitely the place to be when in Bangkok.

Open daily from 6pm to 1 am, V9 Wine Bar, Restaurant & Market is jointly developed by Michael from Wine Connection Bangkok and Gilles from Sofitel Silom Bangkok who's aim is to ease the accessibility of new and old world wines to the people, at affordable prices.
