Six Continents Hotels went head to head with Australian Rugby Union stars Chris Whitaker, Owen Finnigan, David Lyons and Daniel Vickerman on Friday (27/09/02) in the inaugural Six Continents Hotels Rugby Challenge Cup.
As part of a sales promotion and relationship building exercise, Six Continents Hotels, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and TQ3 Travel Solutions together with their corporate clients teamed with the Australian Rugby Union players to take part in a 40 minute game of modified Rugby Union.
Each team was kitted in branded jerseys and briefed on the rules by NSW Rugby Union representative Ben Whittaker who then officiated the game.
The winning team was awarded a trophy and autographed football and enjoyed a post-match barbeque on the pool deck at the official hotel of the Australian Rugby Union, Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach. |
