Macau looks forward to Fringe Festival 2002

Organized by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of Macau, the renowned Macau Fringe Festival, Macau Fringe 2002, will be held during from 23rd Oct 2002 to 17th Nov 2002.

Growing from past experiences and the strong relationship with artists from around the region as well as some European countries, this festival is greatly appreciated by art enthusiasts and has become one of the biggest  festivals in Macau.

Slightly different from the traditional theatre space or auditorium, the main concept for the coming Macau Fringe will attempt to turn the whole of Macau City into one big stage. With this ambition, those performances will be emphasized on the integration with the performing areas and the environment there, doing so to reveal the special appearance of Macao City and her islands to the audiences.

Performers in the Macau Fringe Festival 2002 are from the Netherlands, Japan, Taiwan, Austria, Mexico, United States of America, Australia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong and Macau.
