American Express appoints Ashutosh Agrawal as head of Corporate Services, Greater China

American Express announced today the appointment of Ashutosh Agrawal as the Head of Corporate Services, Greater China. In his new capacity, Mr. Agrawal will be responsible for leading the continued growth of Corporate Services in the Greater China region.

American Express Corporate Services comprises Corporate Cards, Business Travel Account Management, and Corporate Purchasing Solution. As the world's leader in travel management, American Express Corporate Services provides advice, guidance and the expertise to assist companies in managing and controlling corporate travel, entertainment and purchasing expenses. As a result, companies can take advantage of substantial savings in their operational costs, making them more competitive, locally or internationally. More than 70% of U.S based Fortune 500 companies are American Express Corporate Services clients, along with tens of thousands of mid-sized companies.

Mr. Agrawal has been with American Express for 9 years. He joined the company as Head of Marketing, Corporate Services, for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Thailand, before becoming Head of Corporate Services, India in 1998. Under his leadership, Mr Agrawal successfully grew the Corporate Services business in India several folds. He was promoted in 2000 to Head of Sales Effectiveness for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Mr. Agrawal earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Honours Degree in Economics from St Stephen's College, Delhi.

Mr. Agrawal currently lives in Hong Kong with his wife and two children.
