SRS-WORLDHOTELS Heightens Technological Edge With New Web-Based Reservation System

Travel News Asia 18 September 2002

SRS-WORLDHOTELS, already at the forefront of reservation and distribution technology, will implement a new Web-based reservation system that will offer its member hotels even greater ease, speed and cost-effectiveness.

Roll out of the new system, TRUST Voyager, for SRS-WORLDHOTELS members has already commenced, and is scheduled to convert all 450 member hotels over the next three months.

“Particularly in these challenging times, we are determined to maximize every opportunity to drive business forward for our member hotels,” said Michael Ball, chief executive officer of SRS-WORLDHOTELS.

“Our new reservation system greatly enhances what was already a superior reservation product. It will help us maintain our technological edge and build business for our members through more effective management of their property information, availability and rates.”

SRS-WORDLHOTELS’ current version of the TRUSTRES reservation system offers its hotels the advantages of real-time, on-line reservations bookings and highly detailed electronic property brochures. Its state-of-the-art technology allows the instant exchange of reservations or other data between member hotels, sales and reservations offices, travel agents, airline systems and other business partners around the world.

TRUST Voyager builds on this functionality and adds to these features the convenience of a web-based product that is easily accessible and eliminates the need for software maintenance at the property level.

Other benefits of the new reservation system include:

- Extended yield functionalities that help maximize room nights, revenue and yield.

- Enhanced availability features that offer a better overview of possibly complex availability setups, resulting in more room nights booked.

- Standard interface description XML to multiple property management systems.

SRS-WORLDHOTELS has more than 450 member hotels in its portfolio, representing over 70,000 rooms in 65 countries and 250 destinations worldwide.
