Travel News Asia 15 October 2002

Alila Hotels and Resorts, the company who recently took over the management of The Chedi, Ubud and The Serai Manggis, Bali have appointed Delivering Asia as their Asian partner. Delivering Asia will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the group in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Korea and Taiwan.

Federic Flageat-Simon, Managing Director, Alila Hotels and Resorts said "Asia is an important market for our current hotels and future developments. It was a strategic decison to seek a partner who was well placed to focus on delivering results" he went on to say "Hong Kong still remains the key hub for Asia and is well positioned to build our brand name in the emerging China market".

Alila Hotels & Resorts opened its first hotel, Alila Jakarta, in July, 2001. The hotel has already received recognition for its contemporary design, fine dining, and cheerful service. Alila Jakarta’s stylish decor and contemporary furnishings were recently acclaimed on the cover of Interior Design magazine (June, 2002 US edition) and provide an early insight into the company’s defining qualities and vision.

The Alila philosophy is surprisingly different. The Alila vision is to achieve a new level of guest experience which is continuously redefined by the latest trends in design and living. Alila aims to create a contemporary lifestyle where its guests and employees are able to interact in a healthy, fun and rewarding environment.

The Alila brand is stylish and attentive and relies on a skilled and committed team that can act with the initiative and innovation required to pursue perfection in all aspects of the hotel’s operation and achieve ever-higher standards of service.
