MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL OFFERS SUMMER TRAVEL VALUE RATES IN ASIA

Marriott International, Inc. announces special summer travel rates available at five hotels in four countries within Asia, including Hong Kong, Korea, the Philippines and Japan.

“We are delighted about the value being provided by some of our most elegant, luxurious hotels this summer,” said Kent Maury, regional vice president for sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific & Australia Region.

“Asia is a region which offers amazing cultural diversity, historical sites, fabulous shopping, untouched beaches and incredible geography, plus exciting capital cities. As intra-regional and international travel increases in Asia, we are confident that value-conscious travelers from all over the world will find reasons to consider Asia for their summer vacation this year.”

Participating in the promotion are hotels representing two Marriott International brands: Marriott Hotels, Resorts & Suites and Renaissance Hotels, Resorts & Suites. The special rates vary by hotel. Unless otherwise noted, the rates are on a per-room basis and do not include local taxes. Reservations should be made at least 48 hours in advance of arrival, as availability is limited. Children under 12 years of age sharing their parents’ accommodations stay free and enjoy a 50 percent discount on all food and beverage purchases.

Offering these special summer rates are:

In China

- JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong – This hotel provides a breathtaking view of Victoria Harbour and offers direct access to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Wanchai waterfront. The famous Star Ferry to Tsimshatsui is just opposite the hotel. Rates are HK$1,550 May 1 – September 6, 2000. (Blackout period is June 16–22, 2000).

- New World Renaissance Hotel Kowloon – Centrally located in the heart of Tsimshatsui, this hotel is in the midst the most vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment district in Kowloon. Rates are HK$1,080 May 1 – September 15, 2000. (Blackout period is June 2–8 2000).

- Chongqing Marriott Hotel – This hotel is in an excellent location in the liberation monument area and the most prosperous commercial and finance district of the city. Rates are RMB690, effective immediately until September 15, 2000.

In Japan

- Nagoya Marriott Associate Hotel – This hotel is located in the new J.R. Central Towers built over the Nagoya Station with easy access to over 40 restaurant and the 11 story Takashimaya department store. Rates are: JPY 15,000 June 1–30, 2000; JPY 13,500 July 1 – August 31, 2000; JPY 14,000 September 1–30, 2000.

- Renaissance Sapporo Hotel – This hotel is located in the northern state of Hokkaido Japan’s winter skiing and sports playground. At other times of the year, Hokkaido attracts those interested in its hot springs and other natural sites. Rates are JPY 15,000 June 1 – September 30, 2000.

In Korea

- Renaissance Seoul Hotel – This hotel is conveniently located in Kangnam, an emerging buisness and entertainment district, and is within a short driving distance of the Korea World Trade Center and the Korea Exhibition Center. Rates are US$165 May 1 – September 15, 2000.

In the Philippines

- New World Renaissance Hotel Makati City – This hotel is an international deluxe business and leisure property that is located within the financial and commercial district of Makati City, a suburb of Manila. Rates are US$134 June 1 – September 30, 2000.
