HOLIDAY INN RESORT TO OPEN ON THE ISLAND OF GUAM

 (SINGAPORE, MARCH 20, 2000) - Bass Hotels & Resorts (BHR) today

announced the expansion of its Holiday Inn Resort hotel brand to Guam

with the opening of Holiday Inn Resort Guam in May. A management

agreement has been signed with Five D Enterprises, Inc., Six D

Enterprises, Inc. and Eulogio Del Carmen, the owners of the former Parc

Hotel which is being renovated and converted to a Holiday Inn Resort

offering upgraded services.

Richard Hartman, Managing Director, Asia Pacific of Bass Hotels &

Resorts commented: "Guam is increasing in popularity as a convenient

and value oriented destination from our major source markets in Asia.

Holiday Inn Resort Guam will offer travellers a modern hotel with the

dependability and unique style of warm, welcoming hospitality that

travellers have come to expect from Holiday Inn."

Said Reynald del Carmen, Director of Five D Enterprises,"With BHR's

hotel expertise and the immense global power of the Holiday Inn brand,

the hotel will only benefit and gain from this partnership. This is

true, especially in Guam, where there is already a major presence of

international hotel brands."

The 251-room resort is located 10 minutes from Guam International

Airport and within walking distance of major tourist attractions such

as Tumon Beach and the DFS

Galleria.

Features of the elegantly designed Holiday Inn Resort Guam include

ocean view guest rooms, two restaurants, two bars, a swimming pool,

conference and meeting facilities as well as a ballroom catering for

up to 500 people. In addition, sauna, spa and sports facilities will

be available to guests by June 2000.

One of the highlights of Holiday Inn Resort Guam will be its

impressive Grand Lobby and Mezzanine, with marble columns and

staircases. The hotel is also expecting to make a major splash on the

island's food and beverage scene with a soon to be opened California

Pizza Kitchen (May 2000). It already houses the renowned Hy's Steak

House, one of the finest restaurants on Guam.

Recently opened Holiday Inn hotels in Asia Pacific include the

102-room Holiday Inn Agra in India and the 201-room Holiday Inn Benoa

in Bali.
