Extraordinary Business Services and Facilities Match those in The Regent Clubs

throughout the Asia-Pacific Region

HONG KONG --- April 27, 2000 --- Now, discerning business travellers have an added opportunity to conduct business affairs seamlessly when they stay at a Regent International Hotel in the Asia-Pacific region. After an A$60-million renovation, the award-winning Regent Sydney recently re-opened with a brand new Regent Club. Offering a full range of personalised services specifically designed to meet every business requirement in a comfortable lounge setting, The Regent Club at The Regent Sydney operates much like its sister Regent Clubs at Regent International Hotels in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Almaty (Kazakhstan).

“We are proud to add another Regent Club to our growing roster throughout Asia, and look forward to expanding the concept to new geographic regions,” said Paul Hanley, President, Regent International Hotels. “The Regent Club continues to redefine the luxury benchmark for executive club accommodations in the industry.”

Much more than a typical executive floor of upgraded rooms featuring a hospitality area with limited benefits and fixed hours, The Regent Club offers, for a small premium above the daily room rate, superior food and service, a proficient staff, convenient guest services, and a full array of business facilities centred around a spacious lounge. The lounge, guestrooms and facilities are furnished with the supreme comfort of guests in mind and serviced with the thoughtful, genuine concern associated with Regent International Hotels.

The new Regent Club in Sydney provides the following exceptional services and facilities 18 hours a day:

· An exclusive lounge;

· A complimentary full buffet breakfast each morning, including cooked-to-order eggs;

· Complimentary tea, coffee, beverages and snacks served all day;Complimentary alcoholic beverages available all day with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, served from 5-7:30 p.m.;

· Complimentary pressing service for the entire length of stay;

· A health club membership;

· Business Centre Services (charges apply);

· Use of the private boardroom at a minimal charge per hour;

· No access fee for local calls or when using preferred long-distance carriers; and

· A concierge on call to handle everything the guest may need.

The Regent Clubs in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Almaty, offer many of the services and facilities listed above. These, plus a number of extras, are provided 24 hours a day according to the needs of guests at each. They include:

· Personal in-room registration or Club Lounge check-in;

· Express check-out in The Regent Club;

· Continued trip itinerary services (airline, hotel, transportation, etc. regardless of next destination);

· A Library with the latest newspapers, business magazines, reference books and novels;

· “In-residence” cards and personalised stationery;

· Direct fax access for incoming/outgoing faxes; in-room faxes also available;

· Priority reservations in all restaurants within the hotel.

Personalised attention begins well before the guest’s arrival at The Regent Club, with the club’s home-to-hotel trip planning assistance. Guests may also choose to stay on any floor and elect to purchase the club benefits.

Regent International Hotels introduced The Regent Club concept in April 1996 to provide hotel guests, especially those who travel frequently on business and to whom a hotel becomes home for a day or even weeks, a more personalised level of experience. The concept was based on the results of a survey of 2,000 frequent business travellers conducted by Regent. The company found that an overwhelming two-thirds of those polled expressed that club hospitality was “very important” in influencing their hotel choice. Business travellers reported spending a majority of their leisure hours in the comfort of the Club Lounge, where they can find respite from the day’s hectic pace.
