Travel News Asia Date: 9 August 2000

The Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) Web site recently was named by Forrester PowerRankingsTM as the No. 1 airline site for the second time in a row.

Forrester PowerRankings combine survey data from online consumers, shopping-experience tests and unbiased expert analysis to provide rankings of the leading eCommerce sites.

"Continental's Web site is paving the way in the industry with new customer service features such as the flight status notification and a downloadable timetable," said Bonnie Reitz, senior vice president of Continental Sales and Distribution. "It's wonderful for our team to be recognized for their hard work in bringing our customers the most efficient, convenient Web site."

Forrester praised Continental's Web site (www.continental.com) for its speedy ticket-purchasing process and customer service.

"Smooth-flying Continental trounces the competition," said Forrester on the PowerRankings scorecard published on its Web site on Aug. 1. "Its amenities, including online seat and meal selection as well as integrated car and hotel bookings, are first-class."

Forrester Research Inc., headquartered in Cambridge, Mass., is the leading independent Internet research firm, analyzing technology change and its impact on business, consumers, and society.
