LIMA MARRIOTT HOTEL & STELLARIS CASINO OPENS

Sixth Marriott International Property in South America
Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) continues its growth in Latin America with the opening of the Lima Marriott Hotel & Stellaris Casino in Lima, Peru. The 300-room hotel is the first Marriott International hotel in Peru and the sixth in South America.
The Lima Marriott Hotel Stellaris Casino is located from the Salazar Park, overlooking the gardens and beach that borders the Pacific Ocean. The hotel is owned by a joint venture partnership formed by Peruvian industrialists, Alfonso Brazzini and Augustin de Aliaga, together with a group of institutional investors.
“We are very excited to add another hotel to our Latin American portfolio,” said Ed Fuller, president and managing director of international lodging for Marriott International. “We are confident that travellers to Lima will find Lima Marriott Hotel Stellaris Casino a wonderful place to do business and will appreciate its convenience to the city’s major attractions.”
For dining and entertainment, the Lima Marriott Hotel Stellaris Casino has two restaurants and two lounges. Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a health club, a 9,000-square-foot casino, 24-hour room service, laundry service, valet service and parking.
For conferences and social events, the Lima Marriott Hotel Stellaris Casino has a 6,120-square-foot ballroom, three additional meeting rooms totalling 2,236 square feet, three pre-function areas totaling 5,006 square feet, a 4,650-square-foot terrace for coffee breaks and cocktails, and a 420-square-foot boardroom.
The Marriott International lodging portfolio in South America currently consists of the 325-room Marriott Plaza Hotel Buenos Aires, the 452-room Renaissance Sao Paul Hotel, the 244-room JW Marriott Hotel Quito, the 280-room Santiago Marriott Hotel and the recently opened 75-room Courtyard by Marriott Buenos Aires.
In the near future, the following hotels will join the Marriott International lodging system in South America :
- 269-room JW Marriott Hotel Caracas, Venezuela

- 245-room Rio de Janeiro Marriott Hotel, Brazil

- 256-room Costa do Sauipe Marriott Resort & Spa in Bahia, Brazil

- 237-room Renaissance Costa do Sauipe Resort in Bahia, Brazil

- 180-room Mendoza Marriott Hotel, Argentina



The Lima Marriott Hotel Stellaris Casino and over 1,800 Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide participate in Marriott Rewards, the guest reward program that allows members to earn their choice of points or airline miles for the equivalent of each U.S. dollar spent during each stay.
