TOP TRAVEL COMPANIES MEET TO DISCUSS E-COMMERCE IN SINGAPORE

Travel News Asia Date: 3 November 2000

Senior executives from the leading travel companies will meet in Singapore on 12-13 December 2000 at the E-commerce for Travel Asia 2000 Conference - the premier Asian event for the travel industry.

The event boasts a high-level keynote session featuring Yeo Khee Leng, CEO, Singapore Tourism Board, and Martin Symes, Head of Travel and Operations, Hutchison Priceline.

The hottest new topic of e-procurement and exchanges is being featured in a dedicated track, with speakers from the worlds leading airlines and hotel companies sharing the secrets of how they are cutting costs by using the power of online purchasing and trading. Will this be the future of supply chain management and efficiency in the Travel Industry?

Already, registrations for the conference are coming in rapidly and the organisers, EyeForTravel, are expecting a sell-out event.

"This shows just how important the travel industry believes e-commerce is to their core business. E-commerce isn't a buzzword - it's real! The impact it's having on the industry is huge and will shape the way business is being done, and will be done in the future," says Conference Director Kathryn Hingston.

The Conference program is packed with key industry figures showing you exactly how they plan to develop their e-commerce strategies, revolutionize their distribution process and develop their sales and marketing and supply chain strategies, as well as how they plan to implement these programs.

Some of the industry leaders attending include: Emirates Group, Hilton Hotels, The Singapore Tourism Board, China Southern Airlines, Sabre Asia Pacific, Abacus and Singapore Airlines.

E-commerce for Travel Asia 2000 is part of a continuing global series of travel conferences developed by e-commerce specialists, EyeForTravel, part of the First Conferences Group
