PATA Staff Changes

Ms. Penelope Gillam, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, has resigned to join GRSNetwork Inc, a Bay Area travel technology company, as Vice President - Strategic Relations. She will continue to work part time through the completion of the annual audit to ensure a smooth transition. Penny has played a significant role in PATA's restructuring over the past three years. We greatly appreciate her dedication and wish her continued success.

Mr. K. Kent Liu, CPA has been hired as PATA's new Controller. He will join us on a part-time basis later this month. He graduated from Peking University, Beijing, China with a degree in Economics and has a Master of Business Administration from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Administration, Rice University, Houston, Texas. He has worked in public accounting for KPMG Peat Marwick, Hein + Associates, LLP and Burr, Pilger & Mayer, Inc. Mr. Liu will be responsible for all of PATA's financial functions. He will be based in the San Francisco Administrative Headquarters, which is relocating to Oakland, California in September.

Ms. Leslie Detter has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for our Administrative Headquarters. She will continue to serve as Director-Sponsor Relations and the staff officer for the carrier members.

Ms. Ratana Poopitakchatkaew will assume Ms. Detter's duties as Director-Board Relations in addition to her current responsibilities as Director of Administration and Finance for the Bangkok Operational Headquarters and the Singapore Asia Division Office. Khun Ratana will continue to be based in Bangkok.
