HONG KONG TOURIST ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS

The Hong Kong Tourist Association (HKTA) is pleased to announce the recent senior appointments at Head Office and in its Worldwide Offices:

Paul Chan has been appointed Chief Internal Auditor. A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and Hong Kong Society of Accountants, Chan has 16 years’ experience in auditing and administration. He was previously with the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Corporation where he was responsible for various audits, such as the financial, system and value-for-money programmes. Chan also developed an ISO 9000 Quality Management System for the Internal Audit Department.

Andrew Kam has been appointed Director, China/Chief Representative, Beijing, effective 12 June 2000. In his new capacity he is responsible for marketing throughout China. Kam was previously with Coca-Cola where he held several positions, most recently as General Manager Operations - North and Southwest China Region, based in Beijing.

Anna Case has been appointed Manager – Meetings, Conventions and Incentives for the North American division. Case was previously Sales Manager – Meetings, Conventions and Incentives with the Australian Tourist Commission, based in Los Angeles. Prior to this she was the International Sales Manager for the Gold Coast Tourism Bureau in Australia.

Lawrence Yeung has been appointed National Marketing Manager – North America. Yeung was previously Senior Strategic Planner for Young and Rubicam in Los Angeles, working with Bank of America, Sears, Korean Air and McDonald’s on strategic planning and advertising campaign development.
