New PAL pass eases frequent domestic travel

Travel News Asia Date: 21 November 2000

Philippine Airlines has introduced a new product that facilitates travel between Manila and major points in Visayas and Mindanao for frequent travelers on PAL’s domestic network.

Called the Jetsetter Pass, the product is a booklet containing 12 flight coupons, each allowing one-way economy-class travel between Manila and a southern destination.

There are separate booklets for Visayas and Mindanao. The Visayas coupons apply to travel between Manila and Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Kalibo, Roxas and Tacloban.

The Mindanao booklet covers travel between Manila and Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Dipolog, Davao, General Santos and Zamboanga, as well as Puerto Princesa in Palawan.

“The Jetsetter Pass is the most convenient and affordable way for business travelers and frequent flyers to travel domestic,” said PAL vice president for sales David A. Lim.

“It does away with the inconvenience of queuing up at a ticket office every time one travels. With the Jetsetter Pass, the traveler has the freedom to go anytime and almost anywhere in the PAL domestic network he wants to.”

The passenger simply fills out the flight coupon with pertinent details, such as his name, destination, origin, flight number and time, whenever he wishes to travel. Upon confirmation of his flight, he is ready to go.

Jetsetter Pass booklets are available at PAL ticket offices nationwide. The coupons have a validity of one year from date of purchase.
