THAI Announces Winter Programme 2000/2001

Travel News Asia Date: 17 October 2000

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited recently announced its Winter 2000/2001 flight timetable for both domestic and international routes, effective from October 29, 2000 – March 24, 2001. THAI will change flight timetables in terms of routes, service frequency, and type of aircraft used on each route as follows:

Domestic routes


Bangkok – Chiang Rai:

An increase of 2 additional flights per week, totaling 35 flights per week


Bangkok – Nakhon Si Thammarat:

An increase of 2 additional flights per week, totaling 9 flights per week

Bangkok – Trang – Krabi:

An increase of 6 additional flights per week, totaling 20 flights per week, utilizing Boeing 737-400 aircraft

International routes

THAI has alter its flights on the routes to Europe, Australia, and Asia as follows:

Europe:

An increase to 56 flights per week, from 53 flights per week, with an increase of 1 additional flights per week on the routes Bangkok – Copenhagen, Bangkok – Stockholm, and Bangkok Munich.

Australia:

An increase to 24 flights per week, from 19 flights per week as follows:
- The route Bangkok – Perth has been increased by 1 additional flight per week, totaling 5 flights per week, utilizing Airbus A330-300 aircraft
- The routes Bangkok – Sydney, Bangkok – Melbourne, and Bangkok – Auckland have been increased to 19 flights per week, from 15 flights per week, utilizing Boeing 777-300, effective from December 1, 2000 onwards.

Asia:

- Bangkok – Osaka : Another 4 flights per week have been added, utilizing Airbus A300-600 aircraft

- Bangkok – Seoul : Another 3 flights per week have been added, utilizing Boeing 777-200 aircraft

- Phuket - Singapore : An increase of 7 additional flights per week, totaling 14 flights per week, utilizing Airbus A300-600

- Bangkok – Fukuoka : An increase of 1 additional flight per week, totaling 5 flights per week

- Bangkok – Colombo : An increase of 1 additional flight per week, totaling 4 flights per week, utilizing Airbus A300-600

- Bangkok – Lahore : An increase of 1 additional flight per week, totaling 4 flights per week
