A NEW ADDITION TO HILTON'S RESORT PORTFOLIO : HILTON RHODES RESORT DUE TO OPEN IN 2001 !

The Hilton Rhodes Resort, a premier resort hotel on the island of Rhodes, is opening in March 2001.

Formerly the Rhodes Imperial Hotel, the Hilton Rhodes Resort is set within 80 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking the beach of Ixia,4 kilometres from Rhodes Town and 9 kilometres from the airport.

Hilton Rhodes Resort has 404 rooms, all with private balconies or terraces with sea, garden or mountain views. All rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning, in-room safes, satellite TV and direct dial telephones.

The hotel provides excellent conference and banqueting facilities for up to 1600 delegates, with 12 meeting rooms and a fully equipped business centre. Dining options include 3 restaurants, incorporating the use of excellent fresh local produce, and 2 bars located in the hotel and around the pool.

The hotel has its own private beach with water sports centre, offering a full range of water sport activities. Other sport & leisure facilities available include a health club & fitness centre, squash and tennis courts and a choice of 3 swimming pools. Golf is available a short distance from the hotel.

Rhodes is easily accessible by air from all major cities worldwide via Athens; in the summer season many European charter airlines fly directly to the island.

Rhodes can also be reached by ferry from Pireaus, Turkey, Cyprus and many Greek islands.

The hotel will be managed by Hilton International on behalf of its owners, Ionian Hotel Enterprises, part of the Alpha Bank Group.
