Sam-Erik Ruttmann appointed General Manager of Dusit Laguna Resort Hotel

Having held four other previous posts as hotel General Manager in Thailand and Indonesia, newly appointed General Manager of Dusit Laguna Phuket, Mr Sam-Erik J. Ruttmann, comes to his current post with considerable experience particularly relevant to the region. Prior to joining Dusit Hotels & Resorts in his new post, Mr. Ruttmann was GM of Amari Boulevard Hotel and two City Lodge hotels managed and run by Amari Hotels and Resorts.

He was formerly GM at The Regent Cha-Am Beach Resort, Belmont Carla Beach Resort, West Java, and Yogya International Hotel, Yogyakarta, the latter two Indonesian properties both belonging to Belmont International Hotels.

Mr. Ruttmann, a Finnish national, began his career back home, then went to the US on a scholarship grant on corporate job training at Playboy Resort & Country Club. Then, he worked in Las Vegas to support his university studies. Another highlight of his career was working at Kuwait Regency Palace first as Director of Food & Beverage and later as Executive Resident Manager. He was also behind the success of Hotel Continental Helsinki for winning a string of culinary awards.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA in Hotel Administration, Mr. Ruttmann is currently President of the Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce and a member of Rotary Club of Bangkok South.
