InterContinental Hotels Group appoints Clarence Tan as Vice President Business Support, Asia Pacific

InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Mr Clarence Tan as its Vice President Business Support, Asia Pacific. Reporting directly to Mr A. Patrick Imbardelli, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Mr Tan is the latest addition to the regional management team and will be responsible for advising the team on the Group's financial performance in the region. He will also lead the region's participation in all global finance initiatives and coordinate best practices to ensure profit maximisation.

Mr Tan possesses in-depth knowledge of the hotel industry and also brings with him a solid track record, with a total of 11 years in accounting and financial management. Prior to this appointment, Mr Tan was the Hotel Manager of Raffles Grand Hotel D'Angkor, Siem Reap in Cambodia.

During his seven years with Raffles International, he held several posts including Corporate Director of Operations, Senior Manager and Financial Controller, Cambodia. He assisted in the takeover for Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza Hotels and was also responsible for setting operational standards and performing financial and operational due diligence for new acquisitions, mergers and management contracts. His previous appointments were as an accountant with private real estate investor Pontiac Marina and as an auditor at Price Waterhouse. Mr Tan is based in Singapore.
