Express by Holiday Inn Causeway Bay Hong Kong scheduled to open January 2005

The InterContinental Hotels Group has said it intends to launch its Express by Holiday Inn brand in Hong Kong within the next four months. The scheduled opening of Express by Holiday Inn Causeway Bay Hong Kong is January 2005.

Express by Holiday Inn, one of the fastest growing brands in its market segment in the Americas and Europe, averages two new hotels each week and has already built up a commanding presence of 1,350 hotels in the Americas and Europe. Established in the early 1990s, Express by Holiday Inn has earned a reputation for providing friendly service with refreshing modern accommodations at affordable prices.

InterContinental Hotels Group’s Chief Operating Officer for North Asia, Mr Edmond Ip, said, “Both the inbound and domestic travel markets in China are growing rapidly and we believe that Express by Holiday Inn will be well placed to catch this wave. Express by Holiday Inn Causeway Bay Hong Kong is strategically located in the heart of commercial and retail hub, Causeway Bay. It is also next to Times Square, a well-known landmark in Hong Kong. The 29-storey hotel will have close to 270 guest rooms, a self-sufficient business centre and two meeting rooms. The hotel will also offer laundry services and Internet access.
