Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts
has opened the Sol Meliá' s first Hard Rock Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago
in, Illinois, United States of America.
The opening of the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is also the Spanish hotel chain's
debut in the United States.
Part
of an agreement made in 2003 between Sol Meliá and the Rank Group, the company that owns the Hard Rock
brand, the opening of the hotel also means the beginning of development of the Spanish chains fifth hotel brand, in
addition to its Meliá, Tryp, Sol and Paradisus properties.

Hard Rock hotels
(4 to 5 star superior) are contemporary hotels located in the heart of major cities
and leisure destinations, with a modern design and ambience, spectacular bars
and restaurants and superior quality service. Hotels with all of the spirit and
glamour of "Hard Rock" splendidly combined with the "savoir faire" of traditional
hospitality.
After Chicago, additional Hard Rock hotels are foreseen in American cities such
as San Diego and New York, and also in some European capitals, amongst other
destinations.
Further projects are also under consideration within the Mainland China market,
considering the tremendous appeal of the new brand and those of the already
established brands of Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts. |
