HPL Hotels & Resorts extends contract with Utell by Pegasus

Travel News Asia 6 October 2004

HPL Hotels & Resorts has extended its agreement with Pegasus Solutions to provide global marketing and representation services on the Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Internet channels for three of its hotels.

The three HPL managed hotels that are extending their contract for another two years with Pegasus are the 515-room Concorde Hotel Singapore, the 570-room Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and the 423-room Concorde Inn Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

“By observing and practising some key revenue maximisation fundamentals, such as implementing flexible rates structure for different seasons and need periods of the hotels, and leveraging on Utell by Pegasus’ brand promotions – GreatRate and Rest and Jet programmes, Concorde Inn Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s year-on-year revenue has increased by 55 per cent. Year-to-date, we have also seen double-digit growth in revenue for both Concorde Hotel Singapore and Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur,” said Edmund Nicholas, Vice President – Marketing of HPL Hotels & Resorts.

“With the assistance of Pegasus’ Service Delivery team, allocating more inventory on GDS and ensuring rate competitiveness, we are assured that our hotels will continue to gain incremental bookings from the global distribution channels.” added Edmund.

The Concorde Hotels will be under the core Superior category in the Utell by Pegasus Selections program.
