Novotel Palembang Hotel & Residence opens on 7 February with an exciting urban resort concept targeting tourists and long-staying corporate guests visiting Sumatra’s second largest city.

Located only 20 minutes from the airport in the heart of Palembang’s new town centre, Novotel Palembang Hotel & Residence sets new standards for hotel service and quality in Sumatra Accor Director of Operations – Indonesia, Gerard Guillouet, said.

The 12-block, three-storey hotel is set on 6.5 hectacres of lush topical gardens and features a contemporary architectural design that reflects a modern, stylish and relaxed ambience. Each of the 140 guest rooms and 54 serviced apartments offer modern furnishings and are equipped with cable television, IDD telephone, refrigerator, in-room safe, minibar, tea/coffee making facility, hairdryer, internet connection and spacious private balconies overlooking lush tropical gardens or the swimming pool.

With eight different restaurants, bars and entertainment outlets, guests are spoiled for choice. The hotel’s flagship outlet is Novotel’s interactive concept restaurant, The Square, which makes its debut in Indonesia following successful openings in Singapore and Beijing. With over 100 dishes on offer cooked to order in an attractive open kitchen, The Square takes 'interactive dining' to new heights.

There is also a Chinese dim sum restaurant, the poolside Splash Bar and Restaurant, Le Bar lobby lounge, Le Zat bakery, wine and cigar shop, discotheque and karaoke venue.

Novotel Palembang Hotel & Residence’s grand ballroom accommodates up to 1,500 people, perfect for weddings, corporate meetings or product launches. There are also five other breakout rooms for smaller gatherings.

The hotel’s comprehensive recreational facilities include a swimming pool, two tennis courts, jogging track, health club and spa, hair and beauty salon, Dolfi kid’s club for children.
