Continental Airlines starts new domestic and international routes

Continental Airlines is beginning new routes as it prepares for the summer travel season.

On May 1, Continental resumes daily Cleveland-London nonstops. Effective May 2, two major state capitals are getting new links to the Continental network:

Tallahassee, Fla., is welcoming Continental Express' two daily round-trip flights to the Houston hub.

Sacramento, Calif., which already has Houston flights, is seeing the inauguration of a daily round-trip Continental flight to the Newark Liberty International Airport hub.

Also effective May 2, three new routes to Mexico are beginning. Continental Express is providing nonstop flights to Mexico City from McAllen once per day and from San Antonio twice per day. Service will be inaugurated in Puebla, Mexico, with a daily round trip to the Houston hub. Puebla is Continental's 25th destination in Mexico.

Starting May 8, Continental is beginning Saturday-only service between Albuquerque and New York/Newark.

On May 13, Continental resumes seasonal nonstops on the Houston-Anchorage and New York-Vancouver routes.
