Trisara Resort, Phuket mainly unaffected by Tsunami

Travel News Asia 30 December 2004

The Trisara Resort Phuket, which is located at Naithorn Bay, has reported that it suffered only minor damage to its main beach pool as sea water from the Tsunami rushed in. No trees were knocked over, nor did the hotel suffer any structural damage. The pool is expected to be operational within the next few days.

As the resorts pool villa rooms are located above the seafront, all were spared from any damage. The Restaurants, Bar, and Kitchen and other facilities were also all unaffected and are functioning as normal.

The Trisara Resort Phuket has set up a fund that will be partly used to provide aid to the relatives of its staff members who have lost loved ones, are in hospitals, or have had their homes destroyed. The Resort has also been delivering food and water to those most in need.
