Meritus soft opens Impressive New Property in Bangkok

Few new hotels will have quite the same impact to the Bangkok hotel industry as the recently soft opened Meritus Suites State Tower, on Silom Road in Bangkok.

Located on the corner of Silom Road and Charoen Krung Road the Meritus Suites is only a few minutes walk from the closest BTS station and express way,  and offers guests some stunning views of Bangkok and the famous Chao Phraya River.

An all suites hotel, with the smallest room measuring a mammoth 66 square metres, and with a special introductory rate of only US$88++ this new property is sure to be a popular choice with travellers looking for more than the a regular hotel room.

The Meritus Suites has 462 rooms which consist of 375 one bedroom suites, 21 one bedroom / study suites, 49 two bedroom suites, 16 three bedroom suites and 1 presidential suite.

The one bedroom suites range in size from 66 sqm to 94 sqm, the 1 one bedroom / study suites from 125 sqm to 133 sqm, the two bedroom suites from 118 sqm to 186 sqm, the 3 bedroom suites are 266 sqm and the one presidential suite is an enormous 944 sqm.

Every suite offers everything the modern traveller could need and wish for, including a fully equipped kictchenette, goose down duvets and pillows, washing machine and dryer (selected units), iron and ironing board, electronic in-room safe, telephones with voice mail system, a minimum of two TV's with DVD player, and in-room broadband internet access. All suites are luxuriously designed with a separate living and dining area, large marble bathroom with separate shower and large bathtub, kitchenette, separate bedroom and balcony.

The Meritus Suites is scheduled for grand opening in June 2004, and until then has a special introductory rate of US$ 88 ++ which includes American Set Breakfast and a fourth night free if you stay three consecutive nights.

There is also a special travel trade and media rate, valid until 31 March 2004 employees of travel agents, tour wholesalers, cruise ships, car rental companies, travel / journalists, airlines and Asian Hotels Alliance Member Hotels can enjoy a special rate of only US$ 45 ++ (room only).
