Hilton Adelaide reopens LEVEL 1

Travel News Asia 27 August 2004

Following a $4m investment and complete refurbishment, Hilton Adelaide has reopened LEVEL 1, one of the city’s largest and most advanced Conference and Meeting facilities.

Launched in June this year, the new LEVEL 1 includes 1800sqm of cutting edge design, advanced audio-visual and communications technology and innovative meeting services never experienced before in the state of South Australia.

The dedicated Conference and Meeting LEVEL incorporates 12 state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces including one of Australia’s most spectacular Ballroom designs. The Grand Ballroom features a 5 metre high wall-to-wall curtain of intricately woven metal that can be animated with light to create drama and theatrics for any occasion. Three permanent 12” x 9” wireless-controlled motorised screens and the highest quality sound and lighting technology deliver effects with ease. At 30.5m long x 21.7m wide the Grand Ballroom seats up to 750 delegates in a pillar-free space.

Hilton’s LEVEL 1 also offers Wifi networking technology for the ultimate in connectivity throughout the entire conference floor. High speed broadband services enable video conference capability from any room.

Hilton Adelaide General Manager, Jean-Luc Fourrier, says Hilton Adelaide is leading South Australian venues in the new thinking in conferences and meetings. “The very latest in design and technology positions Hilton with the best venues in the country and will attract a greater number of events to South Australia” explains Fourrier.

Event services introduced with the opening of LEVEL 1 include a dedicated Conference and Meeting Business Lounge. “The Business Lounge has the ambience of a private club and provides a comfortable atmosphere where delegates can hold a breakaway meeting, check e-mail, surf the Internet, focus their energies on the meeting ahead or simply relax and re-energise. It is truly unique”, says Fourrier.

Hilton Adelaide has also introduced their international meeting product to LEVEL 1. The Hilton Meetings quality label represents the benchmark for excellence in meetings. Hilton Meetings™ room specifications, backed up by continuous quality control, to deliver meeting planners’ and participants’ requirements – from the reservations process, through to the meeting environment itself, specially tailored food and beverage and precise residential needs.

As a result, Hilton Adelaide now offers The Hilton Meetings Welcome Back Guarantee;

“If we do not deliver on our Hilton Meetings promise, the client will be welcomed back for an equivalent return booking free-of-charge.”

With the re-opening of LEVEL 1 Meeting and Event planners can also enjoy the benefits of the Hilton HHonors Meeting Planner Programme. This popular programme rewards planners with the opportunity of free travel and free stays at 2,400 participating Hilton and Conrad Hotels worldwide.

Hilton Adelaide’s LEVEL 1, combined with the hotel’s award winning ‘victoria’ room located on the ground floor, and multi-purpose meeting rooms on Level 2, now offers a total of 2,200sqm of dedicated conference and meeting space all under one roof.
