Travel News Asia 27 July 2004

The Sydney Marriott Hotel at Hyde Park has announced two new appointments to its Conference and Catering Sales team, as it continues to build its presence in the Sydney meetings market.

Caroline Lyttle has been appointed Conference and Catering Sales Manager. Caroline brings proven hotel sales experience, joining the Sydney Marriott from the position of Business Development Manager at sister Mirvac Hotel, Hyde Park Plaza Suites.

Brooke Frear has been appointed Conference and Catering Sales Executive, a promotion from her former position of Sales Co-ordinator at Sydney Marriott Hotel. Brooke joined the hotel’s sales team in 2002.

The Sydney Marriott Hotel offers comprehensive facilities for the business meetings market, with eight meeting rooms offering flexibility to cater for events and conferences for up to 300 participants.

In addition to the core features of meeting facilities and audio-visual support, the Sydney Marriott Hotel has created a range of “healthy conference options” for meeting delegates, to help maximise their effectiveness.

The popular “Revitalize” package includes a "fresh start juice" on arrival, home-style bran muffins for morning tea, and sliced seasonal fruits with a healthy fruit and nut bar during the afternoon break.
