Update on Tsunami Crisis in India

The Tsunami Waves, triggered by the South East Asian earthquake, have hit coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands in India.

Relief and rescue operations have been launched engaging the help of the Defense Forces. The respective State Governments have also taken necessary measures for the safety of people in the effected areas. All other States in India are unaffected and tourist traffic is normal.

The Government have set up Help Lines to assist people seeking information about the affected areas.
