Qantas and British Airways offer Singaporeans special Three Day Sale

For three days only, from 26-28 May 2004, Australian Airlines, Qantas and British Airways are offering travellers in Singapore unbeatable bargains for fares to its popular destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The airlines have teamed up with UOB to offer their VISA or Mastercard cardholders round-trip economy class tickets from S$210 to Bali, S$399 to Perth, S$550 to Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns or Gold Coast and S$788 to New Zealand. Payment must be made exclusively with UOB VISA or Mastercard.

For just S$550 travellers can book flights from Singapore to popular Australian destinations like Cairns, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne. And with seats to Perth going at just S$399 and S$408 for travelling in June/July and August respectively, a weekend getaway makes economic sense. Travellers could also add on another Australia domestic destination at S$60 one way per sector or S$120 round trip for selected destinations. Flights to New Zealand are also a steal at only S$788 round trip to Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington. Regional travellers haven't been forgotten either, with a tropical escape to Bali, priced at only S$210.

For passengers who prefer greater comfort during their flights, they can travel to Sydney and Melbourne on British Airways' premier economy class - World Traveller Plus - with prices from S$948.

The sale runs from today until 5pm, 28 May 2004. The airfares are valid for travel between 20 June and 31 August 2004. To be eligible for the promotion, customers must pay and ticket within 48 hours of booking using their UOB VISA or Mastercard. Bookings can be made through all Qantas and British Airways-appointed NATAS travel agents.

Stephen Limbrick, Regional General Manager for Qantas and British Airways, South East Asia, said that the special fares will give customers great value for money.

"This promotion gives our customers substantial savings off full Economy Class fares. These special fares cover various cities in Australia, New Zealand, not forgetting holiday hotspots like Bali, Cairns and the Gold Coast. We also offer travellers flexibility in making their destination choices as they can add on another city when travelling to Australia - all this, at such a value-for-money prices."
