New guestrooms at Traders Hotel, Singapore

Travel News Asia 25 May 2004

Traders Hotel, Singapore recently introduced its newly upgraded and redesigned guestrooms and Traders Club Lounge. The hotel now has a total of 546 newly upgraded guestrooms and a bigger and brighter lounge at Traders Club.

All guestrooms were redesigned for busy travellers in mind and include essentials like a Broadband Internet hub and IDD phone with voicemail and dataport. Conveniently placed on the side of the desk are a bank of power points for 24-hour charging of electronic gadgets, and multi-socket adaptors. For added convenience, the rooms have an iron and ironing board, electronic safe, coffee/tea maker and minibar. Unique to the Traders Club rooms are a work desk with a glass top that allows a clear look at the stationery, reading materials and hairdryer within.

The Traders new guestrooms feature a contemporary interior infused with new Asian touches. Warm, earthy hues of cream, beige and brown are generously used for its carpet, wall-coverings and wood furnishings, to create a cozy and relaxed ambience. To add a touch of contrast and distinct visual impact are upholstery, bedding and throw cushions in rich shades of plum and burnt sienna.

Traders Club executive rooms and suites offer the added advantage of the Traders Club Lounge (on the 17th floor) with its personalised service and facilities such as complimentary breakfast, evening cocktails, daily Broadband Internet access at the lounge, suit pressing upon arrival, all-day access to the lounge and purser service.

Spanning an entire length of the Club Lounge are windows offering a resplendent view of the green garden city. The primary purpose of the lounge is three-fold as it serves as a meeting point, relaxation zone and functional workspace. At the lounge, the reception extends personalised service, a buffet area for the morning breakfast and evening cocktails, a sofa area as well as a broadband internet station with PC and printer. Levels 17 and 18 are connected by a circular stairway.
