Travel News Asia 2 February 2004

Dusit Hotels & Resorts recently signed a management contract to manage three new hotels in Fiji and the Seychelles Islands.

Mr. Khampi Suwanarat, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit Hotels & Resorts remarked, "Following our success with Dusit Dubai, our first Middle East hotel property, we are pleased to welcome Fiji and Seychelles to the Dusit portfolio. We are looking forward to this new challenge and opportunity to show what we can do in the islands of the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean, beginning with our auspicious contract to manage three new hotels in these regions."

Mr. Peter Drummond-Cullen, President and CEO of the Fiji and Seychelles hotel projects, said, "We are pleased to select Dusit to manage our Fiji and Seychelles hotels. After a thorough selection process, we became convinced that the Dusit experience, knowledge and expertise would result in a considerable and significant contribution to our two companies' long-term, mutual benefit and success."

The first of the three new hotels is a medium-size five-star property with 256 guest rooms located at Korolevu Bay, Fiji, scheduled to open mid- 2005. It will be followed by another luxurious grand deluxe hotel with 60 villas on Nacula Island, Fiji, opening during the latter months of 2005, while the third project is a private grand deluxe villa hotel with only 10 highly exclusive villas on Therese Island, Seychelles, opening at the end of 2005.
