Dusit acquires Chiang Inn in Chiang Mai

Dusit Hotels & Resorts has acquired the former Chiang Inn, located in a prime location in the heart of Chiang Mai's entertainment and shopping hub, and the renowned Night Bazaar.

The hotel which will be renamed, renovated and ready to operate end of 2004, will offer travelers to Chiang Mai with state-of-the-art facilities and services in keeping with the international Dusit brand image and prestige.

"We are pleased to have the former Chiang Inn as a new member of the Dusit collection of hotels and resorts," said Mr. Khampi Suwanarat, Chief Operating Officer of The Dusit Group who added that, "With Royal Princess Chiang Mai in close proximity, we intend to put our resources together and promote cross selling of the two sister hotels, at the same time offering guests more options and choices in using the facilities and services of our two hotels located in the same area."

At time of press no further details of the new hotel acquisition in Chiang Mai were available.
