Mediterranean Travel Fair aims to build on its success

Reed Travel Exhibitions, organisers of the forthcoming Mediterranean Travel Fair (MTF), have confirmed that the event, taking place between 14 - 16 September 2004 at the Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Egypt, is set to build on the success of last years show, with large international participation as well as representation from a number of key Egyptian companies.

This year Mediterranean Travel Fair sees the return of the following National Tourist Organisations; Morocco National Tourism Board, Ministry of Information - Tourism Sector Kuwait, Syria Ministry of Tourism, Kingdom of Bahrain, the Tunisian National Tourist Office, the Lebanon Ministry of Tourism and the Palestine Ministry of Tourism. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism Libya will also be exhibiting on a larger stand having agreed to 70sqm of space.

There will be a strong Egyptian presence encompassing many major hotels including; Four Seasons Hotel Cairo, Accor Egypt, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Le Meridien Hotels, Jolie Ville Hotels Co Ltd and Inter-Continental Hotel Group. Both the Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Movenpick Hotels & Resorts will be participating with larger stands at this year's MTF. International exhibitors confirmed to date include Turkey, Greece, India, Malaysia, Spain and Cyprus with a new international presence coming from Cuba and Thailand.

There will be a number of new exhibitors to MTF this year including Qatar Airways on a 5Osqm stand who will be promoting their new flights to Luxor.

Key Egyptian tour operators, travel agencies and the Egyptian Hotel Association have also confirmed their attendance at the event.

Mediterranean Travel Fair will also play host to the International Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers (FIJET). Established in 1954 they will mark their  50th Anniversary celebrations alongside MTF with two other travel writers association; the Arab Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers (FAJET) and the Mediterranean Organisation of Journalists and Travel Writers (OMJET).
