Travel News Asia 2 December 2004

Air France and Qantas have started offering codeshare flights between France and Australia.

The agreement enables Air France to expand its offering, with 6 new Australian destinations, and 34 weekly services. Passengers on the daily Air France flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Singapore can continue their trip on a Qantas flight to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth (daily services) as well as to Adelaide and Darwin (3 weekly flights). The same service is available from Australia to France.

In order to offer the fastest and most direct route between Paris and Australia, Air France is offering a completely new service:

Departure from Paris-CDG to Singapore is at 23:15 instead of 19:25 to reduce connecting times on Qantas flights in Singapore.

Frquence Plus and Qantas Frequent Flyer passengers will be able to earn Miles on their entire trip between France and Australia.
