Meritus appoints Jeffrey Gan as Vice President - Business Development

Meritus Hotels & Resorts has appointed Jeffrey Gan as Vice President – Business Development with effect from November 1, 2004.

Mr Gan is a veteran of the hospitality industry in which he has served for over thirty years. He started his career with Singapore Hilton in 1972 as a Management Trainee and worked his way to the position of Vice President – Sales & Marketing for Hilton International Asia/Pacific and remained with the Hilton Group until 1997. In the subsequent years, he ventured into other senior marketing and operational appointments with Golden Tulip Hotels & Resorts and Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. His last appointment was Vice President Sales & Marketing – South East Asia for Micros Fidelio Singapore.

Mr Gan’s vast experience in hotel operations and sales & marketing would place him in a strong position to take on the responsibilities of Business Development for Meritus Hotels & Resorts. As Vice President – Business Development, Mr Gan will take charge of all activities to promote the management services and secure new projects for the Group.
